María Lorenzo Hernández is a 33 year old from Alicante (Spain), who performed "Retrato D" in 2004 after studying Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where after some initial work in the animation to achieve some impact, makes "La pantera de Rilke "(2000) where he experimented with the concept of animated painting. In the beginning, she had a passion for painting, but she saw the use of the prop as outdated, while the animation on acetate, painting, it was very attractive. Through her work, makes a clear statement and an offering to his inspiration, the Swiss animator Georges Schwizgebel, who paints with acrylic, gouache and other pigments on thousands of acetates.
