Maite Ruiz de Austri is a Spanish writer, screenwriter and film and television director, specialized in programs for children and youth. It is the only female director of long feature animation films of Spanish cinema. So far she has directed five films and television series. Belongs to CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers) and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain. Among the many important awards she has received in her long career include: two Goya Awards for best animated film Return of the North Wind (1995) and that neighbors such animals! This young Ukrainian, born 22 April 1985, and began drawing on sand in 2008 when following the credit crisis her business fell into bankruptcy. Her desire to excel led her to start with this technique of animation as a turning point to the dire situation that is ensuing. Putting the good work and creativity that often arises in humans after dramatic situations, she decided to enter the contest Ukraine's Got Talent. Winning in 2009 resulting from an animation that reflects the tragedy of the Soviet people during World War II.
Kseniya, besides the prestige and worldwide recognition, won a prize of around 125.000 USD to get the first place. The video of her "performace" on YouTube has received over 15 million visitors from all over the world.
